Westcountry demonstrator water quality monitoring data for R. Axe and R, Camel Catchments - July 2022 to December 2024

TransformAr Westcountry Demonstrator Water Quality Monitoring.

This data set includes water quality monitoring data for the River Axe (Devon, UK) and River Camel (Cornwall , UK). Catchment water quality monitoring supports the development (design, site selection, performance) of Nature Based Solutions to mitigate nutrient loadings in vulnerable Nutrient Neutrality catchments.  This data set includes primarily pre-intervention monitoring data with any post intervention measurements clearly marked.

1.      Westcountry Rivers Trust in-house monthly spot monitoring: This high specification field-data provides both catchment scale monitoring and targeted monitoring at NBS intervention sites. Equipment used includes:

2.      Westcountry Citizen Science Investigations:   Volunteers use simple low-cost equipment to record quantitative and semi-quantitative information on temperature, electrical conductivity, turbidity and phosphate (semi-quantitative). Westcountry Electrofishing data for Axe and Camel Catchments (TransformAr).xls

1.      Electric fishing uses a controlled electric current to induce fish to swim towards an anode and into a hand net to be counted and assessed. When carried out correctly by a qualified surveyor it is not harmful to fish. An electric fishing backpack is used as the best method to target salmonoids in the Westcountry.

TransformAr 西部乡村示范项目水质监测数据集

本数据集涵盖英国德文郡阿克斯河（River Axe）与康沃尔郡卡梅尔河（River Camel）的水质监测数据。流域（Catchment）水质监测可为脆弱养分中性（Nutrient Neutrality）流域的基于自然的解决方案（Nature Based Solutions）的开发（包括设计、选址与效能评估）提供支撑，以缓解流域养分负荷。本数据集以干预前监测数据为主，所有干预后监测数据均已明确标注。

数据集包含以下两类文件：

1. 《阿克斯河与卡梅尔河流域西部乡村水质监测数据（TransformAr）.xls》
（1） 西部乡村河流信托基金会（Westcountry Rivers Trust）内部月度定点监测：该高精度野外监测数据兼具流域尺度监测与基于自然的解决方案（NBS）干预点位的针对性监测功能。所用设备包括：哈希（Hach）DR900型耐用便携式数据记录比色计、哈希（Hach）Pocket pro+ Multi 2型多参数测试仪。数据存储平台：Cartographer。

2. 《阿克斯河与卡梅尔河流域西部乡村电渔法（Electrofishing）监测数据（TransformAr）.xls》
