Data and code for "From early-warning signal to risk indicator: using tree-growth variability to assess climate-related risk in major European tree species"

This archive contains the complete dataset, model projections and R code required to reproduce the figures in the publication "From early-warning signal to risk indicator: using tree-growth variability to assess climate-related risk in major European tree species" All analyses were conducted within the R Project for Statistical Computing (R Core Team 2024), which is freely available at https://www.r-project.org/. The analyses require the following R packages: dplyr, tidyr, purrr, tidyverse, stringr, ggplot2, patchwork, mgcv, terra, sf, rnaturalearth, rnaturalearthdata, RColorBrewer, viridis, scales, and dplR. These packages are used for data wrangling, tree-ring data handling, generalized additive modelling, spatial data processing, map preparation, raster operations, colour palettes, and figure assembly. ------------------------------------------------- Contents: 1_code.zip: Contains all scripts to run the analyses and reproduce figures 2_data.zip: Contains all the data necessary to run analyses and reproduce figures of the main text of the manuscript ------------------------------------------------- Quick Start Guide Download both zip files, unzip them and store them in a directory The directory should contain two folders "1_code" and "2_data" When opening one of the scripts, set the working directory to the directory (e.g.: setwd("C:/User/XY/code_and_data") ------------------------------------------------- Explanation of data model_projections: Folder containing model projections classification_input_example.csv: Input table used to classify model projections (example for Fagus sylvatica) clim_gradient_coverage_species.csv: clim_gradient_input.csv delta_biogeo_regions_absolute.csv Input_df.csv Metadata TRW_list.RDS oo_404485.tif sdm_fasy_refper
