Preparation of iodopropynyl butycarbamate loadedhalloysite and its anti-mildew activity

Halloysite, natural mineral with nanotube structure, loaded with iodopropynyl butycarba-mate (IPBC) was prepared and its anti-mildew activity against mold and blue-stain fungi was investigated. With dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) intercalation, the loading content of IPBC could reach 34.6 wt% in halloysite nanotubes (HNT), and IPBC remained its crystal state inside HNT lumen. Through inhibition zone test and anti-mildew; propertytest on bamboo, IPBC loaded HNT showed excellent anti-mildew activity against Aspergillus niger, Penicillium citrintim, Trichoderma viride and Botryodiplodia theobromae. In addition, the nano composites have significant sustained release behavior for IPBC, which could prolong IPBC release time from 3 to 62 h in ethanol. The nano composites with excellent anti-mildew activity as well as sustained release property show promising application of protecting wooden materials.
本研究制备了负载碘丙炔醇丁基氨甲酸酯(iodopropynyl butylcarbamate,IPBC)的天然纳米管矿物埃洛石(Halloysite),并考察了其对霉菌和蓝变真菌的防霉活性。经二甲基亚砜(dimethyl sulfoxide,DMSO)插层处理后,埃洛石纳米管(Halloysite Nanotubes,HNT)对IPBC的负载量可达34.6 wt%,且IPBC在HNT内腔中仍保持晶体状态。通过抑菌圈试验及竹材防霉性能测试,负载IPBC的HNT对黑曲霉(Aspergillus niger)、橘青霉(Penicillium citrinum,原文存在拼写笔误)、绿色木霉(Trichoderma viride)及可可毛色二孢菌(Botryodiplodia theobromae)均表现出优异的防霉活性。此外,该纳米复合材料对IPBC具有显著的缓释行为,可将IPBC在乙醇中的释放时间从3 h延长至62 h。这款兼具优异防霉活性与缓释性能的纳米复合材料,在木质材料防护领域展现出良好的应用前景。
