"Neubeschnittene Aruschaburschen" ("Newly circumcised Arusha boys"). Four boys with white painted faces wearing feathers around their heads and ear spirals and holding arrows. In front of a woven storage bin. In the background banana plants.; Wilhelm Guth (1888-1980), from Zeiskam in the Rhineland Palatinate, studied commerce before joining the Leipzig Mission as a pastor. He served in Gonja (southern Pare) from 1913 to 1917 and from 1927 to 1938. He left a large number of photographs, mostly taken by himself but including some by members of his family or fellow missionaries.
"Neubeschnittene Aruschaburschen"(英文原注:"Newly circumcised Arusha boys",意为"刚接受割礼的阿鲁沙男孩"):四名面部涂白、头戴羽饰、佩戴螺旋耳饰且手持箭矢的男孩,背景为编织储物筐,远景可见芭蕉植株。威廉·古特(Wilhelm Guth,1888-1980)来自莱茵兰-普法尔茨州(Rhineland Palatinate)的蔡斯坎姆(Zeiskam),早年修习商科,后以牧师身份加入莱比锡传教团(Leipzig Mission)。1913年至1917年及1927年至1938年期间,他曾在贡贾(Gonja,帕雷南部地区)任职。古特留存有大量摄影作品,其中绝大多数由其本人拍摄,另有少量作品出自其家人或传教同仁之手。
