Developing potato varieties with more durable resistance against late blight is a key goal in global potato breeding. In this study, Illumina RNA-sequencing was performed to enable comparative transcriptomic analysis of leaf gene expression in two resistant Sarpo varieties and one susceptible variety (Duke of York) both before and in response to infection with Phytophthora infestans. The objective was to identify key genes and molecular pathways associated with resistance to late blight to help inform the breeding of new Solanum tuberosum cultivars with improved disease resistance.
培育对晚疫病具有更持久抗性的马铃薯品种,是全球马铃薯育种工作的核心目标。本研究采用Illumina RNA测序技术,对2个抗病Sarpo品种与1个感病品种‘约克公爵(Duke of York)’在接种致病疫霉(Phytophthora infestans)前后的叶片基因表达情况开展比较转录组分析。本研究的目标是筛选出与晚疫病抗性相关的关键基因及分子通路,为培育抗病性更优异的普通栽培马铃薯(Solanum tuberosum)新品种提供育种参考依据。
