The title given on the front cover of this volume is “District Register: Form 6.” It contains information pertaining to claims made by people for pensions, eg. old age pension, widow’s pension. Columns are provided for information such as: the date of receipt of the claim, the claimant’s name, occupation, and address, the date when finally dealt with by the Magistrate, the nature of the Magistrate’s recommendation, the date when the claim and the Magistrate’s recommendation were sent to the Deputy Commissioner, and short particulars of income and property as accepted by the Magistrate.
