Factors Influencing Antenatal Care Utilization: Evidence from a Cross-Sectional Study among Pregnant Women in Bosaso, Somalia

This study investigates the factors influencing antenatal care (ANC) utilization among pregnant women in Bosaso, Somalia. Using a cross-sectional study design, the research examines the level of ANC utilization and identifies key socio-demographic, obstetric, health service–related, and knowledge-related factors associated with adequate ANC attendance. The study aims to provide evidence on barriers and facilitators affecting maternal health service use in Bosaso. Findings from this research may help health professionals, policymakers, and public health stakeholders design targeted interventions to improve ANC attendance, strengthen maternal health services, and reduce preventable maternal and neonatal complications in Somalia.本研究聚焦索马里博萨索地区孕妇产前保健（Antenatal Care, ANC）的利用影响因素展开调查。本研究采用横断面研究设计，分析了该区域ANC利用水平，并明确了与规范ANC就诊相关的关键社会人口学、产科、卫生服务相关及知识相关影响因素。 本研究旨在为博萨索地区影响孕产妇卫生服务利用的阻碍因素与促进因素提供实证支撑。本研究成果可助力卫生专业人员、政策制定者及公共卫生利益相关方制定针对性干预方案，以提升ANC就诊率、强化孕产妇卫生服务体系，并减少索马里地区可预防的孕产妇及新生儿并发症。
