Stable isotopic data was measured from planktic foraminiferal species <i>Globigerinoides ruber</i> and <i>G. obliquus</i> from Ocean Drilling Program Holes 1207A, 1208A, and 1209A, drilled from the northwestern Pacific Ocean. Sediment samples were washed over a 63 µm screen then dried overnight in an oven at 50°C. Foraminifera species were picked from the >150 µm fraction, with 2–6 specimens picked per sample. These data transect the Kuroshio Current Extension, and the data provide a spatial and temporal view of the current during the Pliocene to earliest Pleistocene (5–2.5 Ma).
