Sequencing these isolates is of high interest to the scientific community, because these isolates were obtained from a highly heavy metal contaminated environment. Molecular analysis as well as the mode of isolation demonstrated the presence and activity of the isolates in their original environment. In addition, no close relatives of these isolates have already been sequenced. Therefore the whole genome sequences of these isolates might be unique and reveal novel enzymes involved in heavy metal resistance and stress response.

科学界对这批分离菌株的测序工作抱有极高关注度,原因在于这些菌株均分离自重金属重度污染的环境中。分子生物学分析与分离流程验证表明,这些菌株在原生环境中确实存活并具备活性。此外,目前尚未有与这批分离菌株亲缘关系紧密的同类菌株完成全基因组测序。因此,这批菌株的全基因组序列可能具备独特性,且有望揭示参与重金属耐受与应激响应的新型酶类。
