These MAGs derive from the genomic assembly of 30 samples from different anaerobic digesters. In this study, it was hypothesized that these two MAGs belong to the order MBA03, according to the phylogenetic and phylogenomic analyses performed. It was concluded in the study that MBA03 constitutes a new order of bacteria, proposed as Darwinibacteriales ord. nov., which includes Darwinibacter acetoxidans gen. nov., sp. nov. of the family Darwinibacteriaceae fam. nov., along with Wallacebacter cryptica gen. nov., sp. nov. of the Wallacebacteriaceae fam. nov.
