The source weather dataset are monthly spatial interpolations of rainfall data 1890-2008 from BoM weather stations, gridded at 0.25 degree of latitude-longitude across Australia.
The algorithm used to calculate the drought index using the Hutchinson method is stored in this repository.
The source weather data can be accessed from the principal investigators: Peter Powers and Dean Collins, National Climate Centre, BoM.
本源气象数据集为1890—2008年间取自澳大利亚气象局（BoM）气象站的降雨量数据经空间插值生成的月度数据集，其在澳大利亚全境采用0.25度经纬度网格进行网格化布设。
