PSME2 mediates the progression of thyroid cancer by regulating PTPN12.

There are differences in the expression of PSME2 in human papillary thyroid carcinoma, but the role of PSME2 in papillary thyroid carcinoma is still unclear. In human papillary thyroid carcinoma TPC-1 cell line, the main genetic changes were explored after overexpression of PSME2. At present, it is found that PSME2 may be involved in the progress of papillary thyroid carcinoma by regulating PTPN12. This discovery provides a new therapeutic target for human papillary thyroid carcinoma, which is expected to improve the detection rate and cure rate of cancer.

PSME2在人甲状腺乳头状癌（human papillary thyroid carcinoma）中的表达存在差异，但其在该疾病中的具体作用仍未明确。研究人员以人甲状腺乳头状癌TPC-1细胞系为模型，探究了PSME2过表达后发生的主要遗传改变。目前已有研究表明，PSME2可通过调控PTPN12参与甲状腺乳头状癌的疾病进展。这一发现为人甲状腺乳头状癌提供了全新的治疗靶点，有望提升该癌症的检出率与治愈率。
