This dataset encompasses the morphological and biochemical characterization of rhizobacterial and endophytic bacterial isolates associated with sweet potato plants. It includes results from screening these isolates for growth promotion traits, such as siderophore production, phosphate solubilization, and IAA production. Additionally, it contains data on the biocontrol activity of the isolates against soil-borne pathogens Fusarium oxysporum, Sclerotinia rolfsii, and Globisporangium ultimum, using dual culture assays. The dataset also features molecular characterization of the top-performing isolates, accompanied by constructed phylogenetic trees. Furthermore, it includes data from greenhouse and field trials, where various growth parameters of sweet potato plants were measured to assess the growth promotion effects of the isolates.
PhyML (Guindon and Gascuel, 2003) was used to generate single gene Maximum Likelihood trees. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was performed on the greenhouse and field trials data using SAS software (SAS Institute, Cary, NC, USA).
