Fecal microbial communities of dairy cows fed diets containing ensiled M. oleifera fodder

M. oleifera is a remarkable species with high nutritional value and good biomass production, which can be used as livestock fodder. In this study, we characterized thirty fecal microbial communities of dairy cows fed ensiled M. oleifera, and further examined changes in the fecal microbiota in response to M. oleifera alternative and their effects on nutrient digestion and milk traits.

辣木（M. oleifera）是一种兼具高营养价值与优良生物量生产性能的优质物种，可作为畜禽饲料使用。本研究对饲喂青贮辣木的30份奶牛粪便微生物群落进行了表征，并进一步考察了以辣木替代日粮组分后奶牛粪便微生物群的变化，及其对营养物质消化率与乳性状的影响。
