In the present investigation, we report for the first time deep sequencing of miRNAs from the carrot cultivars showing contrasting color. Our aim was to identify the conserved miRNAs and their differential gene expression in two contrasting colour cultivars of carrot, which plays an important role in colour development.本研究首次报道了颜色表型迥异的胡萝卜栽培品种的microRNA (miRNA) 深度测序结果。本研究旨在鉴定两种颜色表型不同的胡萝卜栽培品种中的保守miRNA及其差异基因表达模式，此类miRNA在胡萝卜颜色发育过程中发挥重要作用。
