The Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) displays TSD sex reversal, in which temperature during embryonic development determines the sexual fate of the individual. However, few studies have found that there is a temperature-controlled gene in brain related to sex in the Nile tilapia. In this study, the brain transcriptome of tilapia was sequenced from several brain samples of control and high temperature treated group using RNA-seq technology. We aim to identify the transient and permanent gene expression changes in Nile tilapia brain after high temperature treatment.

尼罗罗非鱼(Oreochromis niloticus)存在温度依赖型性别反转(Temperature-dependent sex reversal,TSD)现象,即胚胎发育阶段的温度可决定个体的性别命运。然而目前鲜有研究在尼罗罗非鱼脑部发现与性别相关的温度调控基因。本研究采用RNA-seq(RNA测序)技术,对对照组与高温处理组的多份脑组织样本进行脑转录组测序,旨在探明高温处理后尼罗罗非鱼脑部基因表达的瞬时与持久性变化。
