MIROC MIROC-ES2L model output prepared for CMIP6 ScenarioMIP ssp245

Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6 (CMIP6) datasets: These data include all datasets published for 'CMIP6.ScenarioMIP.MIROC.MIROC-ES2L.ssp245' with the full Data Reference Syntax following the template 'mip_era.activity_id.institution_id.source_id.experiment_id.member_id.table_id.variable_id.grid_label.version'.

The MIROC-ES2L climate model, released in 2018, includes the following components:
aerosol: SPRINTARS6.0, atmos: CCSR AGCM (T42; 128 x 64 longitude/latitude; 40 levels; top level 3 hPa), land: MATSIRO6.0+VISIT-e ver.1.0, ocean: COCO4.9 (tripolar primarily 1deg; 360 x 256 longitude/latitude; 63 levels; top grid cell 0-2 m), ocnBgchem: OECO ver.2.0; NPZD-type with C/N/P/Fe/O cycles, seaIce: COCO4.9.
The model was run by the JAMSTEC (Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology, Kanagawa 236-0001, Japan), AORI (Atmosphere and Ocean Research Institute, The University of Tokyo, Chiba 277-8564, Japan), NIES (National Institute for Environmental Studies, Ibaraki 305-8506, Japan), and R-CCS (RIKEN Center for Computational Science, Hyogo 650-0047, Japan) (MIROC) in native nominal resolutions: aerosol: 500 km, atmos: 500 km, land: 500 km, ocean: 100 km, ocnBgchem: 100 km, seaIce: 100 km.

Project: These data have been generated as part of the internationally-coordinated Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6 (CMIP6; see also GMD Special Issue: http://www.geosci-model-dev.net/special_issue590.html). The simulation data provides a basis for climate research designed to answer fundamental science questions and serves as resource for authors of the Sixth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC-AR6).

CMIP6 is a project coordinated by the Working Group on Coupled Modelling (WGCM) as part of the World Climate Research Programme (WCRP). Phase 6 builds on previous phases executed under the leadership of the Program for Climate Model Diagnosis and Intercomparison (PCMDI) and relies on the Earth System Grid Federation (ESGF) and the Centre for Environmental Data Analysis (CEDA) along with numerous related activities for implementation. The original data is hosted and partially replicated on a federated collection of data nodes, and most of the data relied on by the IPCC is being archived for long-term preservation at the IPCC Data Distribution Centre (IPCC DDC) hosted by the German Climate Computing Center (DKRZ).

该模式由日本海洋科技厅（Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology，JAMSTEC，神奈川县236-0001，日本）、东京大学大气海洋研究所（Atmosphere and Ocean Research Institute, The University of Tokyo，AORI，千叶县277-8564，日本）、国立环境研究所（National Institute for Environmental Studies，NIES，茨城县305-8506，日本）以及理化学研究所计算科学中心（RIKEN Center for Computational Science，R-CCS，兵库县650-0047，日本）组成的MIROC团队以原始名义分辨率运行，各模块分辨率如下：气溶胶模块500 km，大气模块500 km，陆面模块500 km，海洋模块100 km，海洋生物地球化学模块100 km，海冰模块100 km。

项目背景：本数据集作为国际协调开展的耦合模型比较计划第六阶段（Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6，CMIP6；详见《地球系统模型发展》特刊：http://www.geosci-model-dev.net/special_issue590.html）的产出成果，其模拟数据为解答核心科学问题的气候研究提供支撑，同时可为政府间气候变化专门委员会（Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change，IPCC）第六次评估报告（IPCC-AR6）的撰稿作者提供研究资源。

CMIP6由世界气候研究计划（World Climate Research Programme，WCRP）下属的耦合模拟工作组（Working Group on Coupled Modelling，WGCM）协调推进。第六阶段承接了此前由气候模型诊断与比较计划（Program for Climate Model Diagnosis and Intercomparison，PCMDI）主导开展的前期阶段，依托地球系统网格联盟（Earth System Grid Federation，ESGF）与环境数据分析中心（Centre for Environmental Data Analysis，CEDA）并结合众多相关活动完成实施。原始数据存储于联邦化数据节点集群并实现部分副本共享，IPCC依赖的多数数据将由德国气候计算中心（German Climate Computing Center，DKRZ）托管的IPCC数据分发中心（IPCC Data Distribution Centre，IPCC DDC）进行长期归档保存。
