Hermaic stele with himation

This sculpture is a hermaic, pertaining to or characteristic of the Greek god Hermes, or the Egyptian Thoth, stele depicting a human partly preserved figure wearing himation, a type of clothing, a mantle or wrap worn by ancient Greek men and women from the Archaic through the Hellenistic period.
