A stereoview: The telephone girls, by Walter S. Cotton, 1922. Interior of a building with two women sitting at a telephone switchboard wearing headphones. A speaker is connected to the top of the cabinet and hangs in front of each operator. The envelope contains information about the type of switchboards used in Los Angeles. The photograph was submitted to the Stereoscopic Society of America, Cotton was the founder of the American branch, and the envelope contains several signed comments about the technique and subject of the photograph. Some comments about the use of a flash bulb. The envelope is generally in fair condition with creasing and abrasion. The photograph is in good condition.
