Gut microbiota responses to plastic feeding and starvation in plastivorous insects

This project examines how gut microbiota in plastivorous insects responds to plastic-based and nutritionally contrasted diets. Using 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing, we compare microbiota structure under control, mixed, plastic-only, and starvation conditions in Tenebrio molitor and Galleria mellonella to evaluate the relative roles of plastic exposure and nutritional stress.

本研究探讨食塑昆虫的肠道菌群对塑料基日粮与营养差异化日粮的响应。本研究采用16S rRNA基因扩增子测序（16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing）技术，对黄粉虫（Tenebrio molitor）与大蜡螟（Galleria mellonella）在对照组、混合日粮组、纯塑料日粮组及饥饿胁迫条件下的菌群结构进行比较分析，以评估塑料暴露与营养胁迫各自的相对作用。
