FINS: Fossil Neoselachian Dataset

The FINS (Fossil Neoselachian) dataset represents a comprehensive and extensively curated collection of fossil occurrences of modern sharks, rays, and skates, and their extinct relatives, covering the past 145 Myr. The information contained in the dataset were extracted from published literature, which was obtained from Shark References (https://shark-references.com) and from the Paleobiology Database (https://paleobiodb.org/). The dataset comprises of three tabs - collections, occurrences, and references. The collections tab contains information on the localities where fossil occurrences were found, including geographical, stratigraphical, and chronostratigraphical information and an evaluation of the age assigned. The occurrences tab contains the occurrences reported from each collection, including their taxonomy, status, abundance and an evaluation of taxonomic assignment and validity. Lastly, the references tab contains a list of literature from which the data was extracted.FINS（古生新鲨类，Fossil Neoselachian）数据集是一套经过全面且系统性整理的现代鲨类、鳐类、魟类及其已灭绝近亲的化石产出记录集合，涵盖了过去1.45亿年的相关数据。本数据集所包含的信息均提取自已发表文献，这些文献来源于《Shark References》（https://shark-references.com）及古生物学数据库（Paleobiology Database，https://paleobiodb.org/）。本数据集包含三个标签页：采集表、产出表与参考文献表。其中采集表收录了化石产出发现地的相关信息，涵盖地理、地层学、年代地层学数据，以及对所指定年代的评估结果；产出表收录了各采集记录中报告的化石产出信息，包括分类学信息、分类状态、丰度数据，以及对分类归属与分类有效性的评估结果；最后，参考文献表收录了本数据集所有数据的来源文献列表。
