Assemblies of seven Drosophila species using PacBio sequencing data

We sequenced and de novo assembled several Drosophila species using PacBio sequencing data. As a preliminary result of our project, we now have assemblies for 7 species, 3 of which were whole-genome sequenced for the first time. With these data, we will perform comprehensive analysis, including detecting new genes, studying the functions of interested genes and tracing the evolution of transposable elements.

我们采用PacBio测序（PacBio sequencing）数据对多个果蝇物种开展了测序及基因组从头组装工作。作为本项目的初步研究成果，目前我们已完成7个物种的基因组组装，其中3个物种为首次完成全基因组测序。依托该数据集，我们将开展全面的系统性分析，涵盖新基因检测、目标基因功能解析以及转座因子（transposable elements）的演化历程追踪。
