Two living organisms of A. brama were purchased from local fisherman lived in BeiTun town located in the midstream of the Irtysh River. These samples were collected from the Irtysh River basin and suitable for the identification of molecular markers for subsequent ecological analyses. The other two individuals were collected using gill nets from downstream (near Kazakhstan) of the Irtysh River in China. Sequencing was performed on an Illumina Hiseq 2000 platform and millions of 125bp paired-end reads were generated.

研究人员从额尔齐斯河中游北屯镇的当地渔民处购得2尾欧鳊（A. brama）活体样本。上述样本采集自额尔齐斯河流域，可用于分子标记鉴定及后续生态分析。其余2尾个体通过刺网采集自中国境内额尔齐斯河下游（哈萨克斯坦附近河段）。测序工作在Illumina Hiseq 2000平台上完成，共生成数百万条125 bp双端测序读段。
