Experiment 5 (Pantrap experiment)

This field data was collected at the grasslands situated in York University on 3rd November 2014 at around 3pm in 10*C weather. This research was done by a group of undergraduate students under the supervison of a T.A. Three colours of pantraps were used and were placed in 3 rows of 12 in alternating colours ranging from yellow-white-blue. The pantraps were half filled with soapy water. After the duration of 2 hours the pantraps were observed again and the total number and type of macro-invertebrates trapped in each bowl were counted and recorded.

本数据集采集于2014年11月3日约下午3时，采集点位为约克大学（York University）校内的草原生境，当时气温为10℃。此项研究由一组本科生在助教（Teaching Assistant，TA）的指导下开展。实验采用三种颜色的诱捕杯（pantraps），以黄、白、蓝交替配色的模式布设为3行，每行设置12个诱捕杯，每个诱捕杯内装入半杯肥皂水。经过2小时的静置时长后，研究人员对所有诱捕杯进行复测，统计并记录每个诱捕杯内捕获的大型无脊椎动物（macro-invertebrates）的总数量及物种类型。
