Cucumis melo, is an annual dicotyledonous trailing herb. It is fruity, cool and refreshing to eat and widely loved by consumers worldwide. The single fruit weight is an important factor affecting the yield, and thus the income and economic benefits, of melon crops. In the present research, to identify the main QTLs (quantitative trait locus) controlling the single fruit weight of melon and thereby identify candidate genes controlling this trait, specific-locus amplified fragment sequencing analysis was performed on the offspring of female 1244 plants crossed with male MS-5 plants.
甜瓜(Cucumis melo)为一年生双子叶蔓生草本植物。其果实风味香甜、口感清爽,深受全球消费者喜爱。单果重是影响甜瓜作物产量,进而影响种植收益与经济效益的关键性状。本研究为挖掘调控甜瓜单果重的主要数量性状基因座(quantitative trait locus,QTL)并鉴定该性状的候选基因,以雌性植株1244为母本、雄性植株MS-5为父本杂交得到的后代群体为材料,开展了特异性位点扩增片段测序分析。
