Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) are digital records of
terrain elevations at regularly spaced intervals. The
interval between elevations of 7.5 minute DEMs is
30-meters. Each DEM file covers the area of one U.S.
Geological Survey 1 to 24,000 scale 7.5 minute
topographic quadrangle.
数字高程模型（Digital Elevation Models, DEMs）是按固定间隔记录地形高程的数字数据集。7.5分幅DEM的高程采样间距为30米。每份DEM文件对应一幅美国地质调查局（U.S. Geological Survey）1:24000比例尺的7.5分幅地形图图幅。
