Gut dysbiosis has been implicated in the development and progression of cardiovascular diseases. However, the specific alterations in gut microbiota among patients with myocardial infarction (MI), compared with individuals harboring cardiovascular risk factors, remain unclear. Furthermore, the potential contribution of gut microbiota to cognitive impairment in MI patients has not been well investigated. This study aimed to characterize the gut microbiota composition in MI patients and evaluate its relationship with cognitive outcomes, providing insights into the gut-heart-brain axis.

肠道菌群失调(gut dysbiosis)已被证实与心血管疾病(cardiovascular diseases)的发生发展密切相关。然而,与携带心血管危险因素的个体相比,心肌梗死(myocardial infarction,MI)患者肠道菌群的特异性改变仍不明确。此外,肠道菌群对MI患者认知功能障碍的潜在贡献尚未得到充分研究。本研究旨在解析MI患者的肠道菌群组成特征,并评估其与认知结局的关联,以期为肠-心-脑轴(gut-heart-brain axis)的相关研究提供新的见解。
