Fig syconia morphometrics

We collected an average of 24 syconia from 23 fig species on the Hawaiian Island of Kauai to understand if newly established fig species had their obligatory pollinators present or if they were forming relationships with new pollinators. We dissected syconia under a stereo microscope to collect any present wasps and seeds. This data set contains the quantitative continuous variables, and also the number and identities of wasps when present. The seeds were then assessed for germination. Other categorical data needed to replicate our analyses are available on Table 1 of the associated manuscript.<br>

为探究新近定植于夏威夷考艾岛的23种榕属物种是否携带其专性传粉者，或是已与新型传粉者建立关联，研究团队从每种榕属物种中平均采集24个榕果（syconia）。研究人员借助体视显微镜（stereo microscope）解剖榕果，收集其中存在的黄蜂与种子。本数据集包含定量连续型变量，以及存在时黄蜂的数量与物种鉴定结果。随后对采集到的种子开展萌发评估。复现本研究分析所需的其余分类数据，可在相关学术论文的表1中查阅。
