National Health Interview Survey, 1987

<p>The basic purpose of the Health Interview Survey (HIS) is to obtain information about the amount and distribution of illness, its effects in terms of disability and chronic impairments, and the kinds of health services people receive. Household variables in this data collection include type of living quarters, size of family, number of families in household, and geographic region. Person variables include sex, age, race, marital status, veteran status, education, income, industry and occupation codes, and limits on activity. The Condition, Doctor Visit, and Hospital files contain information on each reported condition, two-week doctor visit, or hospitalization (twelve-month recall), respectively. 健康访谈调查（Health Interview Survey, HIS）的核心目标在于获取疾病的发生规模与分布特征、疾病导致的残疾与慢性功能障碍影响，以及民众所接受的各类医疗服务类型等相关信息。本次数据采集的家庭层面变量涵盖居住类型、家庭规模、住户内家庭数量与地理区域；个人层面变量则包含性别、年龄、种族、婚姻状况、退伍军人身份、受教育程度、收入水平、行业与职业编码，以及活动受限情况。疾病状况档案、门诊就诊档案与住院档案分别存储了每一例上报疾病、基于两周回忆的两周内门诊就诊记录，以及基于12个月回忆的住院诊疗相关信息。
