Survey Results on Tea Farming in Rize

<br>Our research initially aimed to explore the evolving dynamics of tea cultivation in Rize, focusing on how tea farming has adapted to changing policies and economic pressures. Between 2017 and 2018, we conducted multiple rounds of surveys and interviews with petty commodity producers, private tea factory owners, and officials from ÇAYKUR. In 2024, we carried out follow-up fieldwork to gain deeper insights into the gender dynamics of tea cultivation, which included a series of interviews. The data file provided here includes the survey data collected during the earlier phase of the research.The study adhered to ethical standards and was approved by the Ethics Committee of Recep Tayyip Erdogan University, approval number 2018/15 and 2024/334. All participants provided written informed consent, having been informed about the study's purpose, procedures, their right to withdraw without consequences, and the confidentiality of their data, ensuring full understanding of their rights and participation scope.

本研究最初旨在探索里泽（Rize）地区茶叶种植的演变动态，重点关注茶叶种植如何适应不断变化的政策与经济压力。2017至2018年间，我们对小型商品茶生产者、私营茶厂主以及ÇAYKUR的工作人员开展了多轮调研与访谈。2024年，我们开展了追踪实地调研，以更深入地解析茶叶种植中的性别动态，本次调研包含一系列访谈。本次提供的数据集文件包含本研究前期阶段收集的调研数据。本研究严格遵循学术伦理规范，已获得雷杰普·塔伊普·埃尔多安大学伦理委员会批准，批准编号为2018/15与2024/334。所有参与者均已签署书面知情同意书：研究人员已向其告知研究目的、研究流程、无后果退出的权利以及数据保密原则，确保参与者充分了解自身权利与参与范围。
