Expression of miRNAs in breast tumor from very youn women (<36) and women above 65 years old. Homo sapiens

miRNA expression from breast tumor tissue obtained from two groups of breast cancer (BC) patients: one group formed by women younger than 36 years and the other group by women older than 65 years. Overall design: We selected breast tumor tissue samples from 21 women under 36 years old and 12 women above 65 years old, without BRCA mutation and without metastases. We selected a pool of samples in which all the subtypes were representated, in young patients as well as in older patients, to avoid expression biass. We add three samples from breast tissue of cancer-free women to minimize the age-related expression biass. Our aim was to compare miRNA expression between young women and older women, considering normal tissue as a reference.

本数据集包含两组乳腺癌（BC）患者的乳腺肿瘤组织微小RNA（miRNA）表达谱数据：一组为年龄小于36岁的女性患者，另一组为年龄大于65岁的女性患者。

整体实验设计：我们筛选了21名36岁以下、12名65岁以上的女性乳腺癌患者的乳腺肿瘤组织样本，所有受试者均未携带BRCA基因突变且无肿瘤转移。为构建具有代表性的样本池以避免表达偏倚，我们在青年与老年患者群体中均纳入了所有乳腺癌亚型的样本。此外，我们补充了3名健康女性的乳腺正常组织样本，以最大限度降低年龄相关的表达偏倚。本研究的核心目标为以正常乳腺组织为参照，对比青年与老年乳腺癌患者的乳腺组织miRNA表达谱差异。
