Sequence data for 34 specimens of modern Asian newt

Liver and muscle samples were preserved in 99% ethanol and stored at the Graduate School of Human and Environmental Studies, Kyoto University, and the Chengdu Institute of Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. A total of 34 specimens from 23 species were analyzed.Full genomic DNA was extracted using a QIAGEN DNeasy Blood and Tissue Kit (Valencia, CA, USA). Two mitochondrial fragments (16S rRNA and ND2) and two nuclear fragments (POMC and SACS) were amplified. All sequences were read using a 3130 Genetic Analyzer (Applied Biosystems) .

肝脏与肌肉样本经99%乙醇固定保存，分别存放于京都大学人类与环境研究研究生院以及中国科学院成都生物研究所。本研究共计分析了23个物种的34份标本。采用凯杰（QIAGEN）DNeasy血液与组织试剂盒（美国加利福尼亚州瓦伦西亚）提取完整基因组DNA。扩增得到两段线粒体基因片段（16S rRNA与ND2）以及两段核基因片段（POMC与SACS）。所有序列均通过3130基因分析仪（应用生物系统公司，Applied Biosystems）完成测序读取。
