Metal-Free Borane-Catalyzed Highly Stereoselective Hydrogenation of Pyridines

A metal-free direct hydrogenation of pyridines was successfully realized by using homogeneous borane catalysts generated from alkenes and HB­(C6F5)2 via in situ hydroboration. The reaction affords a broad range of piperidines in high yields with excellent cis stereoselectivities.本研究采用烯烃与氢双(五氟苯基)硼烷（HB(C6F5)2）通过原位氢硼化反应生成的均相硼烷催化剂，成功实现了无金属条件下吡啶类化合物的直接加氢反应。该反应可高产率获得多种哌啶类产物，且展现出优异的顺式立体选择性。
