A shake table test of an unreinforced masonry wall section spanning one floor. This experiment documents the testing of one specimen out of a total of five specimens tested in the project. Parameters varied among the specimens are wall height and the horizontal stiffness of the supports at the top and base of the walls. Each wall was tested by running a ground motion repeatedly at increasing amplitude until collapse was observed. Rigid-body rocking behaviour of cracked walls and their interaction with various flexible diaphragm conditions were observed. In this experiment, the wall specimen is 2 wythes thick, and 2.8 m tall, with an h/t of 14.6. The wall is connected to flexible diaphragms at the top and bottom. Top and bottom diaphragm stiffnesses are the same. The characteristic period of the wall-diaphragm system is approximately 1.2 seconds at top and bottom.

本试验为单层无筋砌体墙段的振动台试验。本项目共计测试5个受试试件,本次试验记录了其中1个试件的测试过程。受试试件间的变化参数包括墙体高度,以及墙体顶部与底部支座的水平刚度。每块墙体均通过反复施加幅值递增的地震动开展测试,直至观测到墙体发生倒塌。试验同时记录了开裂墙体的刚体摇摆行为,及其与各类柔性隔板工况的相互作用。 本次试验所用墙体试件为2皮厚,高度2.8米,高厚比(h/t)为14.6。该墙体顶部与底部均连接柔性隔板,且顶部与底部隔板的刚度一致。墙体-隔板系统的特征周期约为1.2秒,对应顶部及底部约束工况。
