Fitness value of mutant FMDV populations.

aRelative fitness values obtained in the competitions between the clonal FMDV population depicted in bold letters (that indicate the amino acid substitution in 3D; SSI means the triple mutant FMDV 3D(P44S, P169S, M296I) relative to the population depicted in regular letters [wild type, wt, mutant FMDV (M296I) or the double mutant FMDV 3D(P44S, M296I)]. Fitness was determined in the absence or in the presence of the indicated concentration of R. n.d., not determined. R2 values of the fitness vector (linear regression) are given in each case. Procedures are detailed in Materials and Methods.

本数据集包含粗体标注的克隆型口蹄疫病毒（Foot-and-Mouth Disease Virus, FMDV）种群间竞争实验所得的相对适配值：其中粗体用于指示3D蛋白中的氨基酸置换；SSI指三重突变株FMDV 3D(P44S, P169S, M296I)，其相对适配值对应常规字体标注的种群，包括野生型（wild type, wt）、突变株FMDV(M296I)或双突变株FMDV 3D(P44S, M296I)。适配值的测定分别在无指定浓度R以及添加指定浓度R的条件下完成。n.d.代表未测定（not determined）。每种实验条件下均给出了适配向量的线性回归R²值，具体实验步骤详见材料与方法（Materials and Methods）部分。
