We employed RNA-seq to profile the transcriptome of Morus 'Sakonnakorn', a cultivar known for its rich secondary metabolite profile. This analysis aimed to elucidate the genetic regulation of the phenylpropanoid pathway and other related metabolic networks in response to specific elicitors. This study utilized 2.5-month-old stem cuttings of Morus ‘Sakonnakorn’, which were propagated aeroponically from a one-year-old parent plant. The experiment involved two treatment groups: one receiving medium molecular weight chitosan (CHI) and another grown in a nitrogen-deficient (-N) medium. A third, untreated group served as the control. For each condition, three biological replicates were maintained.
