Cold stress poses significant challenges to livestock production; however, the regulatory mechanisms underlying pig responses to chronic cold stress remain inadequately understood. To address this gap, we characterized the transcriptional responses of metabolism-related tissues to chronic cold stress via bulk RNA sequencing. Our findings revealed tissue-specific transcriptional responses to cold stress. Furthermore, single-nucleus RNA sequencing analysis revealed cellular heterogeneity and metabolic remodeling in the metabolism-related tissues, which were induced by chronic cold stress.

冷应激对畜牧生产带来了严峻挑战,但猪应对慢性冷应激的调控机制仍未得到充分阐明。为填补这一研究空白,我们通过批量RNA测序(bulk RNA sequencing)解析了代谢相关组织对慢性冷应激的转录应答特征。研究结果揭示了冷应激下组织特异性的转录应答模式。此外,单细胞核RNA测序(single-nucleus RNA sequencing)分析显示,慢性冷应激可诱导代谢相关组织出现细胞异质性与代谢重塑。
