Texts in Hieroglyphic (Egyptian) on papyrus contained in the collection of the Museum of Ancient Cultures at Macquarie University

The Museum of Ancient Cultures at Macquarie University, Sydney, holds some 700 papyri, mainly in Greek, but also in other languages and scripts, such as Demotic and Coptic (Egyptian). Most are written on papyrus, but the collection also includes some texts on ostraca (potsherd), parchment, and wood. Most of the texts date from the 3rd century BC to the 8th century AD. The Museum holds two texts written in Hieroglyphics, both copies of the Book of the Dead.

悉尼麦考瑞大学古代文化博物馆馆藏约700件纸莎草文书（papyrus），其中多数以希腊语书写，同时涵盖多种语言与书写体系的文本，例如世俗体（Demotic）与科普特语（Coptic，埃及语）。馆藏载体以纸莎草为主，但亦包含陶片文书（ostraca）、羊皮纸（parchment）及木质文本。绝大多数文本的年代跨度为公元前3世纪至公元8世纪。该馆另有两件以象形文字（Hieroglyphics）书写的文本，均为《亡灵书》（Book of the Dead）的抄本。
