We will study the change in the vibrational spectra of a range of acids and superacids with and without the presence of carbon nanotubes to elucidate the driving force for nanotube dissolution in these acids, and to uncover the relationship between the acidity, the strength of acid-nanotube interactions, and the dissolution effectivity. As carbon nanotube dissolution proved to be very challenging in the past, this study will hold a significant importance for nanotube processing.

本研究将考察一系列酸与超强酸(superacids)在有、无碳纳米管(carbon nanotubes)存在时的振动光谱(vibrational spectra)变化,以阐明碳纳米管在这些酸中溶解的驱动力,并揭示酸度、酸-碳纳米管相互作用强度与溶解效能之间的关联。鉴于过往碳纳米管溶解实验极具挑战性,本研究对于碳纳米管加工工艺具有重要意义。
