SOCIOLINGUISTIC FEATURES OF PHRASEOLOGICAL COMBINATIONS IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK COMPOUND NOUNS

Phraseological combinations and compound nouns represent important components of linguistic and sociocultural communication in both English and Uzbek languages. These lexical structures reflect national identity, historical development, social relations, and cultural values embedded in language systems. The present article investigates the sociolinguistic features of phraseological combinations in English and Uzbek compound nouns through comparative linguistic analysis. The study focuses on semantic stability, structural formation, cultural symbolism, and social functions of phraseological units. The research employs comparative, descriptive, and contextual methods to examine similarities and differences between the two languages. The findings demonstrate that English compound nouns frequently reflect analytical word-formation tendencies, while Uzbek compound nouns are strongly influenced by agglutinative morphological patterns. In both languages, phraseological combinations function as carriers of collective cultural experience and social attitudes. The article also examines sociolinguistic factors such as gender representation, professional identity, regional variation, and intercultural communication reflected in phraseological compounds. The study contributes to modern comparative linguistics, sociolinguistics, lexicography, and translation studies by clarifying the interaction between language structure and social meaning in English and Uzbek phraseological systems.熟语组合（phraseological combinations）与复合名词（compound nouns）是英语与乌兹别克语中语言与社会文化交际的重要组成部分。这类词汇结构折射出内嵌于语言系统之中的民族身份、历史发展进程、社会关系与文化价值观。本文采用对比语言学分析方法，对英语与乌兹别克语复合名词中的熟语组合的社会语言学特征展开研究。本研究聚焦熟语单位的语义稳定性、结构构成、文化象征意义与社会功能，运用对比法、描述法与语境分析法探究两种语言间的异同之处。研究结果表明，英语复合名词多体现分析型构词倾向，而乌兹别克语复合名词则深受黏着形态模式的影响。在两种语言中，熟语组合均作为集体文化经验与社会态度的载体发挥功能。本文还探讨了熟语复合词中所体现的社会语言学因素，涵盖性别表征、职业身份、地域差异与跨文化交际。本研究通过厘清英语与乌兹别克语熟语系统中语言结构与社会意义的互动关系，为现代对比语言学、社会语言学、词典编纂学与翻译研究领域贡献了学术价值。
