This study is designed to help understanding biological mechanism aiming at the inherent biological characteristics by which the Camelus bactrianus survives the harsh climate of cold desert Ladakh (J&K, India). Therefore the epitome of this study is to locate, map and functionally annotate the stress (especially cold) tolerant genes of domesticated Bactrian camel (Camelus bactrianus) and also to do comparative analysis between C. bactrianus and C. dromedarius.

本研究旨在阐明双峰驼（Camelus bactrianus）凭借其内在生物学特性，在印度查谟和克什米尔（J&K）拉达克寒冷荒漠的极端气候中存活的生物学机制。本研究的核心内容为：对家养双峰驼的抗逆（尤其耐寒）基因进行定位、作图与功能注释，并开展双峰驼与单峰驼（Camelus dromedarius）的比较分析。
