Gold weight in the form of a fan at The British Museum, London

This lost wax cast figurative gold-weight, in brass, was made in the form of a fan (papa) with a flat coiled disc in the centre, surrounded by alternating small flat coiled discs and rectangular line decorated elements. The handle is casts with representations of binding at intervals along the shaft. This object is part of Scan The World.
