This dataset compiles the completed afforestation area of national key forestry projects across China over the years, sourced from the 2006 China Forestry Statistical Yearbook. It includes the completed afforestation figures for the following projects spanning 1979 to 2006: Natural Forest Protection Project, Grain for Green Project, Beijing-Tianjin Sandstorm Source Control Project, Three-North and Yangtze River Basin Shelterbelt Projects, Taihang Mountain Afforestation Project, Plain Afforestation Project, and Fast-growing and High-yielding Timber Forest Base Construction Project.
