Trim44属于TRIM家族蛋白，Trim44和TRIM17蛋白作用，稳定促进TRIM17的泛素化作用。Trim44是PAX6表达的负向调节因子,与无虹膜综合征相关。Trim44的过表达促进多种类型肿瘤细胞的增殖、迁移和侵袭，反之，Trim44敲低表达抑制肿瘤生长。Trim44条件敲除大鼠可以与cre工具鼠杂交，获得组织特异敲除大鼠，可以用于心肌病、神经退行性疾病和肿瘤的研究。
Trim44 is a member of the TRIM family of proteins. It interacts with TRIM17 and stably promotes the ubiquitination of TRIM17. Trim44 acts as a negative regulator of PAX6 expression and is associated with aniridia syndrome. Overexpression of Trim44 promotes the proliferation, migration and invasion of multiple types of tumor cells; conversely, Trim44 knockdown suppresses tumor growth. Trim44 conditional knockout rats can be crossed with Cre tool mice to obtain tissue-specific knockout rats, which can be used for studies on cardiomyopathy, neurodegenerative diseases and tumors.
