本研究结合转录组学（transcriptomic）与代谢组学（metabolomic）分析，旨在探究云南省石林县血红桃（Blood Peach，简称血桃）两个生长阶段的关键基因与代谢通路差异。供试血桃采集于中国云南省昆明市石林县板桥街道滴水村民委员会的一处果园。供试桃树均以5年生实生苗为砧木嫁接而成，最终选取健康状况与长势相对一致的3株桃树作为采样植株。
