These sequences represent transcripts expressed in roots of a susceptible Triticum aestivum (hexaploid wheat) cultivar after challenge with the root lesion nematodes Pratylenchus neglectus and/or P. thornei. The objective was to identify nematode-inducible promoters for future studies on root defense.
