The Dongkemadi Glacier, located in the Tanggula Mountains, is a continental-type glacier. This glacier is a compound valley glacier formed by the confluence of a southward-facing main glacier (also known as the Greater Dongkemadi Glacier) and a southwestward-facing tributary glacier (also known as the Lesser Dongkemadi Glacier).
