Urban forests serve as significant reservoirs of soil organic carbon (SOC) within terrestrial ecosystems and play a critical role in the global carbon (C) cycle. However, the regulatory mechanisms underlying SOC dynamics across urbanization gradients in urban forests remain poorly understood. In this study, we investigated the interrelationships among plant diversity, SOC and its oxidation-stable fractions, and microbial functional genes across an urbanization gradient encompassing an urban center (UC), urban subcenter, suburb, and exurb.
城市森林是陆地生态系统中土壤有机碳(soil organic carbon,简称SOC)的重要储存库,在全球碳(carbon,简称C)循环中发挥着关键作用。然而,目前学界对城市森林中沿城市化梯度的土壤有机碳动态变化的调控机制仍知之甚少。本研究沿涵盖城市中心(urban center,简称UC)、城市副中心、郊区与远郊区的城市化梯度,探究了植物多样性、土壤有机碳及其氧化稳定组分与微生物功能基因之间的相互关联。
