Auxin is used to induce transgene expression or degrade proteins in Drosophila. Here we exposed three different genotypes to 0 mM or 10 mM auxin and measured changes in gene expression for both males and females. We found that auxin exposure significantly alters the transcriptome of adult Drosophila in all genotypes tested. Overall design: To test the affects of auxin on the transcriptome, we fed 4-5 day old adult Drosophila to 0 mM or 10 mM auxin for 48 hours. We then processed whole body samples for RNA extraction and sequencing.
生长素(Auxin)可用于在果蝇(Drosophila)中诱导转基因表达或降解蛋白质。本研究将三种不同基因型的果蝇分别暴露于0 mM或10 mM生长素环境中,并检测了雌雄果蝇的基因表达变化。结果发现,在所有受试基因型中,生长素暴露均可显著改变成年果蝇的转录组(transcriptome)。
