This dataset is derived from an urban-scale factorial experimental study focusing on the impacts of urban warming on aboveground carbon storage of mature trees. The experiment analyzed the effects of warming and insect herbivory on tree physiological functions and annual carbon sequestration. Results revealed that urban warming increased the abundance of herbivorous arthropods but did not significantly affect carbon sequestration; warming caused an approximate 12% loss of carbon sequestration, partially due to reduced photosynthesis under high temperatures.
